Fashion Reimagined is a documentary following Mother of Pearl's creative director Amy Powney on a three year journey to make Mother of Pearl’s first sustainable clothing line.

Raised off-the-grid in rural England by activist parents, Amy has always felt uneasy about the devastating environmental impact of the fashion industry. When she wins the coveted Vogue award for the Best Young Designer of the Year, which comes with a big cash prize, Amy decides to use the money to create a sustainable collection from field to finished garment, and in the process challenge the fashion industry and transform her entire business.

Along the way we meet farmers, fibre and fabric producers as the Mother of Pearl team forensically track the supply chain of their chosen fabrics.

The film is open and honest about the limitations and challenges the team faces and at times their frustrations with the current systems in the fashion industry are clear. While there are real highs, difficult compromises have to be made in order to bring the collection to market.

So join us at the Genesis Cinema, East London on Tuesday March 28th where we're hosting a clothes swap shop this special screening of Fashion Reimagined.

Drop your clothes before the film starts in exchange for swap shop tokens, then 'shop' the swap shop rails after the film ends. You must have a ticket for the film to attend the swap shop. If you're a sustainable fashion fan or just love preloved style this could be your dream film night.
